St. Zeno. The facade with the typical "hut" structure, the rose window, the elegant entrance typical features of the purest Romanesque architecture in the world. St. Zeno was built, initially as a small shrine, on the place where Zeno, the 8th bishop of Verona was buried in 380. In Roman time cemeteries (necropolis) were placed outside the city walls. That is why today St. Zeno, one of the most important churches of Verona is not in the historical center of the town.
