Dongili is an agriturismo. The word agriturismo refers to a farm business that also provides services for customers such as accommodation and restaurant. They became extremely popular in Italy in the past ten years since they generally provide good, genuine cuisine, at quite affordable prices.
Dongili is a vegetarian restaurant in a country cottage, on the hill of Montorio, close to the middle age castle, few kilometers from Verona city center. It is surrounded by the fields that produce the vegetables that will be served for lunch and dinner. In summer you can eat outside and enjoy the wonderful panorama.
The menu is set and seasonal, you sit and wait for what they prepared for you. And is a lot of stuff.
Quiche lorraines, baked vegetables, pies, mixed salads, home made cakes in many varieties. Even if vegetarian cuisine might sound a bit tasteless sometimes, here everything is just excellent and dangerously yummy. Is not unusual to end up eating too much since they keep on bringing new dishes and they are too tasty to say no. It is only opened friday, saturday and sunday, and you need to book a couple of month in advance bacause is always quite busy.
Average price: 25 / 30 euro per person, including wine.
